Rachael Murray

I am responsible for managing marketing and communications activity to a range of stakeholders, a large aspect of my role involves communicating with teachers and advisors to promote our outreach activity and programmes and to support the University’s widening participation agenda. I lead on CPD activities including the annual teachers and advisors conference and webinar series and also manage the teacher online community which enables us to gain insight to inform our work.

I also lead on parent and carer communications as well as working closely with the Student Recruitment Marketing team to ensure that our communications and events are relevant to a diverse audience including potential students from lower represented backgrounds.

I was born and brought up in South Wales, but moved to Leeds as a teenager quickly losing my Welsh accent! I’ve lived elsewhere in Newcastle, Italy and London but am now settled with my family back in Leeds (although I do still make the odd Welsh cake now and then).
