What we do
Access and Outreach at Leeds delivers a wide range of pre-entry, outreach activities and programmes, delivering sector leading widening access schemes and supporting students’ transition to higher education. We want to help you through each step of your journey towards becoming a university student.
We work across the UK with schools and colleges and with individual students to raise awareness of the benefits of higher education, the routes into university, the application process and how best to prepare for, and succeed at, university.
Access to Leeds is our contextual admissions programme for UK undergraduate applicants. It offers additional consideration for applicants based on their personal circumstances.
Inclusivity and equality of opportunity is at the heart of our work and our vision is for University of Leeds to be a place where students from diverse backgrounds feel they belong, can thrive, are valued for their unique contributions, and are empowered for successful futures beyond their time at Leeds.
Subject specific outreach
Our subject-specific activities incorporate the arts, health sciences, social sciences and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. We provide visits and demonstrations in schools, on-campus taster days, talks and workshops.
