Mhairi Sharp

Position
Education Outreach Officer

As an Education Outreach Officer for the University of Leeds, I travel across the UK, engaging with students at schools, colleges, and UCAS Fairs. My role involves delivering talks, workshops, and providing guidance to help students make informed decisions about their future. Representing the university on multiple platforms, I am dedicated to supporting and inspiring the next generation of learners.

I joined the University of Leeds in September 2023 in order to study my Masters in Music Performance. As part of my degree, I gave numerous performances as a soloist within the University and throughout Yorkshire and Humber. Notable performances include numerous lunchtime recitals at Ripon and Wakefield Cathedrals, and a performance of Benjamin Britten’s Les Illuminations. I also completed a dissertation on theatricality within the Britten War Requiem and gave a lecture recital on female singers performing solos for treble voice within religious works.

In my spare time you will find me exploring Yorkshire, curled up with a good book or singing with one of the many choirs I am part of.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries about the University or life in Leeds.
